Art gallery for all
The Finnish National Gallery strives to be an open and accessible cultural centre for all users. It is committed to ensuring that all its museums serve a wide range of audiences, regardless of disabilities.
The Culture for All service, run by the Finnish National Gallery’s Community Relations and Development Department, Kehys, provides information and support on improving the accessibility of cultural sites. This nationwide service is primarily intended for those working in the cultural sector.
The 2009–2013 “Art Gallery for All” strategy for accessibility and diversity in the Finnish National Gallery outlines the objectives for improving accessibility and the preliminary proposals for actions to reach these objectives in the Finnish National Gallery.
The Finnish National Gallery’s “Art Gallery for All” strategy monitoring group coordinates and monitors the implementation of the organisation-wide accessibility strategy. The monitoring group also co-operates with the Finnish National Gallery visitors.
