Ville Vallgren

Good news sets us jumping for joy, bad news makes our spirits sink. Dancing helps us forget our troubles – it fills the soul with the joy of movement. Vallgren felt deeply about his work; it was important to him that it should come straight from the heart. He believed that art can help us forget our daily cares and make every day a Sunday. Expressing beauty, joy and poetry was Vallgren's only mission – and all the more important for it.

In Vallgren's eyes, the girl in the Rose Dance is the loveliest in the world. Her dance is enchanting, expressing pure pleasure in movement and dance. Perfect roses adorn her hair and the hems of her flowing skirts – not thistles, burrs or wildflowers growing by the wayside. [NEXT PAGE]
