The portrait of baron R.F.G. Wrede (c. 1831), a young man's picture in a broad and painterly style, is a good example of Finnberg's portraiture. It is a picture of a friend, one of the few people whose literary, artistic and humanist interests approached Finnberg's own outlook on life.
