Hugo Simberg's art was art on a very small scale. Most of the water-colours and prints were no bigger than a book's page. Before art was only seen in oil paintings. Now everything has changed. Art is found in the smallest scraps of paper. In the largest painted canvases it doesn't necessarily exist at all. Engrawings appeal to me and in them I find a new form for my little compositions.
