You can order photographs of artworks in the Ateneum Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum collections through the Photographic Service. You can also order photographs of resources in the Central Art Archives’ Picture Archive (certain restrictions apply). As well as photographs of artworks in private and museum collections, the Picture Archive also contains photographs of artists and the art scene in different eras.

Information on the art collections of the Ateneum Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma and the Sinebrychoff Art Museum is available at The Art Collections and basic information on the Central Art Archives’ photographic collections cataloguepdf, 2339 kb (only in Finnish). For more extensive information on the photographs and databases in the archive, please visit the Central Art Archives premises in person. Please note that all visits must be pre-arranged.

Usage rights to the photographs are granted for publications, research, and various other purposes. A usage fee is charged for all use according to the Finnish National Gallery’s pricing policy.


Press images for current exhibitions can be downloaded from the applicable museum’s media pages. All images used for any other purpose than current communications must always be ordered from the Photographic Service.
